Only about ~1000 were made, this unit has a low serial number of C301-0417, and this is your chance to own a piece of history!
This camera was a rescue from a metal junkyard, I know it belongs to a better place than my drawer collecting dust, and to someone who can appreciate it more than I can.
Original neck strap and hand strap included, original viewfinder eyepiece included. The original PCMCIA storage is not included, but any PCMCIA adapter will likely work. I have no way of testing this unit as I do not have the charger for it. The camera has a Canon EF mounts and accepts all EF lens, the optical viewfinder functions with no notable defect (there is no digital viewfinder or digital screen display), EF lens attaches perfectly and can see through. Unit has expected wear and tear being 25+ years old, all of the grips on the camera is intact with nominal wear, a small portion of the rubber on the bottom of the camera is sticky to the touch.
Reasonable offers will be entertained. Offer auto-decline threshold has been removed.

Released in July 1995, the EOS DCS 3 was Canons 2nd attempt at a Digital Camera, based on the EOS 1N film camera in collaboration with Kodak, the C version stands for Color. Originally priced at 1,980,000 yen (Thats ~$21000 USD in 1995!) with a humongous (at the time) 16MB of RAM, 1.3 Megapixel sensor, with an old-school SCSI port; this camera was able to achieve 12-shot bursts.

Based on the top-of-the-line EOS-1N, the EOS DCS 3 digital camera was developed with a high density area CCD containing 1.3 megapixels. The large, 16 MB buffer memory enables high-speed continuous shooting at 2.7 fps in 12-frame bursts. Also, by using the camera鈥檚 260 MB hard disk card, about 189 large size frames can be filed.
The equivalent film speed sensitivity range is ISO 200 to 1600. This expands to ISO 400 to 6400 with black-and-white and infrared versions. The camera is therefore well prepared for low-light conditions.
